How the model was made
Modeled from the approved permit set: both floor plans, the roof plan, four elevations, the building section and the window and door schedules. Walls, openings, room names, areas, ceiling heights, roof pitches and the overall height come from those sheets. Anything the sheets do not print is listed below as an assumption.
Roof. From the roof plan and elevations: a 5:12 main gable, a 10:12 cross gable with gable ends on both sides, a 9 5/8:12 gable over the garage, an 11:12 dormer gable and a 5:12 porch roof on three posts. Overhangs are 18 inches and the roofing is asphalt shingle. The highest point is 32'-2" above average grade, as printed.
Garage. The garage is 460 SF with a 12 foot ceiling. Its slab sits three risers below the main floor, with a 16 by 7 foot overhead door and a side door.
Openings. Window and door sizes come from the schedules and sit in the wall gaps drawn on the plans. Heads are set at 6'-8" to line up with the doors, as the elevations show; sills follow from each scheduled window height.
Room layout. Room names, areas and ceiling heights are the ones printed on the plans: 10 feet on the main floor, 9 feet upstairs and 12 feet in the garage. The dining room is open to the upper floor. Select a room to fly in.
Slab. A slab on grade under the main floor, and the garage slab three risers lower.

Assumptions (not printed on the plans)
- Window heads at 6'-8" are scaled from the elevations, where they line up with the door heads. Sills are the head minus the scheduled window height.
- Upper floor framing is drawn 1'-6" deep, scaled from the elevation level lines.
- The main floor sits 1'-11" above the garage slab (three printed risers at 7 3/4 inches). The ground is drawn flat at the garage slab.
- Dormer eave and porch roof heights are scaled from the south and west elevations.
- The stair is drawn as a straight run of 18 risers at the printed 7 3/4 inch rise. The turn at its foot is simplified.
- Furniture and fixtures sit where the plan symbols are, scaled from the drawing. Interior doors are shown as open frames.
- The plan examiner's markups on the approved set are applied: the laundry wall moved 1'-6" west, the Office 01 door moved to the hall side, an upstairs door replaced by a 40 inch archway into the primary bedroom, a floor to ceiling window on the main floor north wall, and the larger side patio.
- The markups print only 1'-6", 18' and 40 inches. The moved office door, the archway, the new window and the patio's diagonal edge are scaled from the hand sketch and may be off by several inches.
- The floor to ceiling window runs from the floor to 9'-6". Its head height is not printed.
- Room areas are the printed ones, except the upstairs laundry. Its area was printed as 75.84 SF before the markup moved its wall, so the label shows the redlined area as modeled, about 96 SF. The open living room and the two halls have no drawn boundaries, so their outlines are approximate.
- Siding, stone veneer, deck and porch railings and trim colors are not modeled.
